ടൗണിൽ ആദ്യം കണ്ട ടെക്സ്റ്റെയ്ൽ ഷോപ്പിൽ കയറുമ്പോൾ അയാൾക്ക് ചോറക്കറ പുരണ്ട തൻ്റെ കുപ്പായം ഒന്നു മാറ്റണം എന്ന് മാത്രമേ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നുള്ളൂ.

ഏകദേശം രാത്രി പത്തു മണിയായിട്ടുണ്ടാകും. ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുറിയിൽ കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിനു മുൻപിലിരുന്ന് ഒരു അത്യാവശ്യ ജോലി ചെയ്തു തീർക്കുകയായിരുന്നു. അപ്പോഴാണ് എന്റെ ഫോൺ നിർത്താതെ ബെല്ലടിച്ചത്. ഫോണെടുത്ത് "ഹലോ "പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ മറു വശത്ത് ഒരു കിളിനാദം.
"ഇതുവരെ ഉറങ്ങിയില്ലേ..?"..ചോദ്യം.
"ഇതാരാണ്?"ഞാൻ ചോദിച്ചു.
