വിടതരാതിന്നു നീ പോകിലും പ്രിയതമേ
അറിയുന്നു ഇന്നു നിൻ നെഞ്ചിടിപ്പിൻ ഗദ.
ഒരു നറുപുഞ്ചിരിയേകി നീ മാഞ്ഞതും
ഒരു മനസായി നാം ഒന്നിച്ചുചേർന്നതും.
കാറ്റിനാൽ തഴുകിടും നിൻ കൂന്തലയിടാൻ
കാത്തിരിപ്പിന്നു ഞാൻ കാലങ്ങളായിതാ.

ഒരിക്കൽ ഞാനൊരു ദേവിയെ കണ്ടു
മോഹിച്ചു, കൂടെ പ്പോരാൻ ക്ഷണിച്ചു
ദേവീ പുഞ്ചിരിച്ചു മറ്റൊരു പുരുഷനെ
ചൂണ്ടി കാണിച്ചു എന്നിട്ട് ഓടിച്ചെന്നവന്റെ
ചെവിയിൽ എന്തോക്കെയോ മന്ത്രിച്ചു.
