(ഭൂട്ടാനിലെ 'ഹാ' താഴ്വരയും 'പാറോ'- താഴ്വരയുംവേർതിരിക്കുന്ന പർവ്വത നിരയിലെ ചുരമാണ് 'ഷിലൈല')
സമുദ്ര നിരപ്പിൽ നിന്നും പതിനയ്യായിരം
അടി മുകളിൽ തനിച്ചു നില്ക്കുമ്പോൾ,
കാറ്റിന്റെ ചൂളം വിളികളിൽ
ഞാൻ ബന്ധിതനാവുന്നു.
മേഘപാളികളുടെ തിരതല്ലലിൽ
ഞാനന്ധനാവുന്നു.
നിശ്ശബ്ദതയുടെ അഗാധതയിൽ
ഞാൻ മൂകനാവുന്നു!

നിൻ കളമൊഴിയായുണർന്നു മെല്ലെ.
മൃദുപല്ലവത്തിൻ കുളിരലയെന്നിൽ,
ഇളംതെന്നലായ് വന്നണഞ്ഞു.
കളിയോടവുമായ് കാത്തുനിന്നു ഞാൻ,
