നീയും ഞാനും
എന്നും ഒരുമിച്ചായിരുന്നു.
പക്ഷെ,
നീ വെളിച്ചമായിരുന്നു;
ഞാൻ ഇരുട്ടും....
നിന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ
ഗോഷ്ടികാട്ടൽ അല്ലാതെ
മറ്റൊന്നും
എനിക്ക് ചെയ്യാനില്ലായിരുന്നു....

മരിച്ചാൽ ചിലർക്ക് കുര്യാല കിട്ടും
ഒരു ചെരാത് വെട്ടം കൂട്ടിനും
ആവതില്ലാഞ്ഞിട്ടും അഞ്ചു പെറ്റോൾ !!
അങ്ങാടിയിൽ നവകുന്തിയെന്നു പേരുള്ളോൾ,
അഗതിയെപ്പോൽ ഒരു-
നാൽക്കാലിയിൽ നാള് നീക്കിക്കിടപ്പാണ്
ജനാലക്കലേക്ക് നീക്കിയിട്ട ആ കട്ടിലാണവളുടെ
വാസസ്ഥലം
അതിൻ കാലുകൾ നാലും ഇടക്കിടെ അന്തമില്ലാ-
പണി ഭാരത്തിൽ പല്ലു ഞറുമ്മും.

അലകടൽ കടന്നു നീവന്നു
അഴലുന്ന ഭൂതലം തന്നിൽ.
അതിരുകൾ കടന്നു നീയണഞ്ഞു
എരിയുന്ന ഹൃദയത്തിനുള്ളിൽ.
ഉറകെട്ടു പോയൊരീ മനസ്സിൽ,
ഉറവയായ്മാറി നിൻ സ്പർശനം.
